Product Information

The CCM683 shares most of the high-performance features of the CCM 682, but has a slightly lower maximum amp power of 130W. Like the CCM682, this speaker comes with a 200mm (8in) Kevlar® cone bass/midrange driver with a rigid die-cast chassis, a Nautilus swirl-loaded aluminium dome tweeter that pivots for adjustable off-axis treble response, and a three-position EQ switch.

Great service
I bought this to replace one that got damaged. It was nice that they were willing to sell me only one since they normally come as a pair. Also nice that they called me to confirm to avoid any surprises.

They shipped quickly and the new unit popped right into the existing cage. I love the sound quality on these.

is there a specific number of speakers per square foot? or is it preference?

  Thanks so much for your question.
There is not really any specification regarding number of speakers in a ceiling. (There are guidelines for commercial PA speakers to assure adequate sound clarity and coverage.)
Please consider the room size, ceiling height, and your music preferences. Room filling loudness or background volume (like overhead over a dining area)? For music listening avoid spacing left and right more than 8 to 10 feet apart otherwise your stereo image may disappear. Locating the pair closer to a wall may provide better stereo listing due to sound reflections off the wall. A small area like foyer, stairs, etc. may be suitable for a single stereo speaker two tweeters and a dual winding in the woofer.
There are many variations and considerations that exceed a simple explanation. There are numerous Google search postings for locating ceiling speakers provide additional options.
B&W in ceiling speakers are a great choice and among the finest we sell.
