The best wireless speakers ever
These Bose Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers are amazing... I bought it for my SoundTouch 300 soundbar and I was amazed by the full surround sound and the sound quality. Its a great combination.

Whatever issue some have had with these speaker's volume must have been fixed. I've had no such problems. Tried the new system out with three of the many movies recommended to test home theater systems: Transformers, Gladiator, and Jurassic Park. It didn't take long for me to notice the immersion these speakers created. The experience was great as expected and they perfectly complimented the rest of the system.

Completes the sound
I wanted better sound in my family room with my new 65 inch TV and my Bose Soundbar 300 and Subwoofer. I am completely satisfied and the sound even come a little close to my Lifestyles system in my basement theater. Buy these 2 speakers and live happily ever after.

Nice sound but can't control the volume
I have bought the Bose Soundtouch 300 soundbar and the Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers. The sound of the bar is great and the soundbar has also a great bass inside. I connected the Virtually Invisible 300 speakers to my soundbar, this is working after running Adaptiq. Unfortunately I can't control the volume of the surround speakers. Recently there was an update of the Soundtouch App where it is possible to turn on and turn off the Bass Module and Surround speakers but no possibility to control the volume of the surround speakers, the external bass volume can be managed via the remote control. Would be great if there will also be a way to control the volume of the surround speakers via the remote control and/or app. The extra Soundtouch speakers in the other rooms can only be used in combination with the Soundtouch app like Internet Radio and Spotify. Can't play the sound of my TV or DVD player on the other Soundtouch speakers. Would be nice if Bose will also make this possible in a future update.

New dimension of sound quality!

Exquisite sound.
I bought this system 3 weeks ago and is one of the most elite systems I had. The sound quality, the compressed rays of music are out of this world. The only problem is that is difficult to install wireless speakers (Wifi) in the outside area.

This product has a low volume default setting, but with the app you CAN TURN IT UP! But the best thing about this unit is the sound that comes out of these speakers is not the same as what comes out of the sound bar. The VI speakers play all the background sounds(the chirping, raining, background speech) in movies that you wouldn't be able to distinguish from the main audio track. In music it's crazy to hear all the added sounds and background instruments of your favorite songs that you've never realized before. Plus, the speakers play independently of each other. In a movie you could hear an airplane fly around the room, where the sound is coming from only one direction at a time. And in music you can hear the different instruments play on separate speakers like you were in a concert hall, but on stage.

Best Sound Ever
Bought the Soundbar 300 with Subwoofer and surround sound speakers in Sept 2017. Had issues with connectivity to my Samsung 75" TV and setting up the universal remote. After reading thru other customer experiences, downloading the most recent updates to the soundbar and reading another 4 star review (can't thank you enough) that was most helpful, I was able to experience what I was expecting when I decided to buy Bose. I rated at four stars because Bose could do a better job with instructions on using and setting up the universal remote as well as a better surround sound speaker design regarding transformers. Perhaps a universal unit to hook both speakers into one transformer. Wall mounting brackets would be awesome if included for the price. Strongly suggest reading the positive reviews that discuss solutions to some of the common set-up problems. Today, two weeks in, I am a satisfied Bose customer.

They work, but you MUST do this
As you’ve probably read in other reviews, the default factory setting is bad and almost inaudible even if you press your ear on the speaker. There IS a way to fix it. First comes when you do the ADAPTiQ calibration. For those who haven’t bought the speakers yet this is a Bose head set that comes with the soundbar and customizes the system output to your room arrangement, acoustics, and seating position. During calibration if your VI300 speakers are positioned directly next to your head or seating position, the system will not maximize the volume because it doesn’t want to drown you with sound. You need to position the speakers away from your head during calibration either high or just away. You can move them to the final position afterwards. Even the soundbar will slightly muffle the sound if you are too close to it, but no one really notices since the sound bar is usually near the TV and no one sits that close to it. Second, there IS a way to control the volume. It’s on the app. There are actually several Bose apps and no other reviewer I read clarifies which one. The app you want is the latest version of the Soundtouch App. In the settings menu you’ll find the speakers and volume adjustment. DO NOT raise the volume before you do the ADAPTiQ calibration. Let the calibration maximize the volume, and then you can raise it more after that. Otherwise you’ll put it on max but the calibration will still possibly limit it. The soundbar is amazing. The sub-woofer is amazing. The VI300 speakers are not amazing, but if you take the above steps, they are definitely a great surround sound compliment to the system and you won’t regret buying them. You’ll hear clapping from the audience as if someone is sitting behind you and the act on stage is coming from the soundbar just as if you were in the audience. You’ll hear things that go from left to right in an action scene, side noises in an outdoor environment, etc. Don’t expect to get surround sound from your local news. Not all programs offer surround sound, so when testing the volume make sure you’re watching something that has true surround sound. Lastly if you have questions or are confused, call the Bose support line. They are very helpful and will take the time to get you the maximized sound. One more thing. The speakers are not actually wireless. Each one has a power cord and adaptor box that require an outlet, so keep this in mind if you don’t want visible wires and don’t have an arrangement that can conceal them. They are advertised as wireless because they don’t need to be connected to the soundbar near the TV, meaning it’s wireless from the front of your room to the back, but power with wires is required for each speakers to an outlet. I hope this review helps as I had to do a bit of research to not return them myself, but still had to put two and two together to figure it out since it’s not spelled out. Still worth the price and completes the system.
