Customer Reviews for Bose UB-20 Series II Wall/Ceiling Bracket - Each
i had to buy these wall mounts directly from bose because best buy sells the rear speakers for the 700 series sound bar but they dont sell the wall mounts. I do have a sugestion they need to have universal mounts so you dont have to go through the trouble I went through
According to the site the UB-20 Series II wall bracket is the correct bracket to mount the Cube Surround Speakers that I bought with the 500 Soundbar. However the UB-20 speaker mounting bracket clamps onto the back of the speaker upside down. The speaker wire hole is not accessible. Is the UB-20 the wrong bracket?
I purchased Acustimass 5 speaker with pair of ub20. Bracket q of material and finish is very good, but the previous reviews helped me to sole the cable bending problem. I reworked the bracket on the metal plate (see attached photos). I milled 6mm line from the oval hole for connector entrace till the geometrical middle of the bracket plate. Problem solved. Recomend to Bose ingineers to inprove this detail.
I should have read the reviews before purchasing these brackets. These brackets are NOT COMPATIBLE with the Acoustimass 10 series V. With ALL of these reviews I do not understand why Bose have not fixed this issue yet. This purchase was made on 05/07/2018.
Plaster wall mounted bose 300 surround speaker fit
So I have the complete bose 300 surround 5.1 now and wanted to finish the look off with the bose surround speaker bracket. I love the product and at time of shopping around for best price Jan 2018 I found Bose to be the cheapest by far!!! .Om installation I found it very easy and the speaker come s with several types of fixings to no into plaster-wood-brick/concrete. So you won’t need to purchase any additional fixings. My only advice would be is to try not push the speaker flush against the wall fixing as you will struggle to make that happen(because it won’t) gently place it into the groves of the speaker with about a 2mm gap and it will slot in 1st time.see attached photo as zoom in of speaker to bracket gap, Apart from that 1st class product once again from Bose and extremely pleased with its product, see also my review on Bose 300 soundbar under Nij. Hope this helps. Please zoom
I am having the same issue as the previous reviewer. The hole on the back of the bracket does not lineup properly with the connector on the back of the speaker. As a result, the connector is more or less jammed behind the bracket with the wire making a hard 90 degree bend. We also ordered the speaker stands. These came with similar brackets, but the holes lineup and work as expected. I called customer service last night. The agent confirmed these brackets are indeed compatible. He was going to send me another set to ensure there was not a revision. I am doubting this is the case. Either way I will be following up as this is not expected from a high end product like Bose!
I bought the Soundtouch 300 bar, optional bass module and the Virtually surround pair, with its mount the UB-20 Series II. Installation at first was a real challenge. I cannot get the back plate to snap on to the back of the speakers. I called Bose support who assured me that I purchased the correct accessory and suggested a YouTube video on installation. The video instructions were so easy, it took the installer 3 seconds to snap the speaker to the wall bracket back plate. For me it was a painstaking task, until I carefully slow motion paused every maneuver when I noticed the screw at the back if the plate was not protruding through which was preventing me from snapping tight the speaker to the backplate of the bracket. Bose should make the screw a 1/8" smaller or include a smaller version with the one that was packaged. I didn't use the packaged screw as it would not work. I used a shorter screw which accomplished the job. No review ever mentioned this until I watched the YouTube video and noticed that the screw barely protrude thru the whole, which would allow for a good snap.
One of these brackets was purchased to mount a center speakers above a TV. Bose included all the hardware to mount this easily adjustable bracket including plastic anchors for masonry walls, screws for wood stud mounting and "butterfly" toggle mounting on gypsum (drywall) walls when hitting the stud isn't possible. A small metal, rectangular backing plate with four mounting holes is provided to mount the small, but heavy speakers. The bracket, like Bose speakers, is high quality and includes a couple of adapter pieces to accommodate vertical or horizontal speakers. There is also provided an adapter piece that snaps onto the back of the speaker. This pieces allows you to fully mount the metal plate and set the vertical and horizontal angle of the bracket without you needing to support the weight of the speaker while tightening the single adjustment screw. Before mounting the speaker, a small decorative piece covers the backing plate. There is even thought given to routing the speaker wire through the bracket and into the speaker with small notches and a hole through which you use the Bose style speaker-wire termination plug. Picture instructions are provided for the numerous styles of vertical and horizontal Bose center, front and surround speakers speakers. Of note, the butterfly toggles provided require 1/2" holes. I would guess most home owners/DIY folks have 3/8" cordless or corded drills. This makes it necessary to carefully enlarge the holes in the gypsum just the tiniest bit to insert the toggles. However the screws provided with the toggle are long enough to adjust for 1/2" or 5/8" thick gypsum and perhaps even thicker plaster installations. Keep in mind this bracket is intended for use with Bose speakers and cannot, or at least not easily, be used with non Bose speakers. When complete, the speaker mount is professional looking, matching Bose speakers.
