When I first bought these glasses I thought they were just a gimmick. Liking technology I thought I would give them a go. I am very impressed to say the least. The sound quality is typically Bose. The design of the glasses is good even including the speakers. The reason only given a 4 out of 5 is that the sound does leak if turned up too loud so would be annoying to others close by if volume up. Also I bought the blue lenses too which in my opinion make the glasses look cheap. I'll stick with the black!
I do love these glasses overall. I would love more lenses to be available, especially for indoor. The volume control on the arm is awesome, and makes it quite easy to navigate. I haven't had any problems with these not fitting my head correctly, or the sound going off and on during bumps or high wind as much as my older model. These ones look quite stylish and fit in with my sunglasses collection though! Having glasses that can discreetly play your music wherever you go is a nice plus to have. Overall, quite happy with these glasses, and I'd recommend or gift them as I believe the price can be a bit higher than the plastic feels. That's about my only complaint. Noise quality and comfort, volume, all about what you'd expect from these.
The Bose Tenor headphones are a very unique piece of technology that pairs sunglasses with headphones. My first impression when trying them on is “these feel like they are made for a small head”. They feel tight and uncomfortable to wear. The sound quality was good but not great, and the audio levels could have been a bit higher. Overall I do not recommend these unless you have a small head.
First thing is I have a big face so the shades are a little tight for me. Other than that l They look well constructed though all plastic. The sound is nice however volume leaves something to be desired. The perfect use for them to me is any activity that needs you to still be alert. They create a nice ambience or background music white noise.
I've always hated sunglasses but after getting these, I can't take them off my face. I seriously love everything about these. The way they feel, the way they look, and the way they sound. The UX/UI is great and the app helped me connect them easily to my phone.
I'm styling and jamming to the tunes while I cruise on down Hollywood boulevard. All the ladies see me in my retro classic shades and have no idea the music is rocking, they see me and think I'm just super excited as I dance down the street. But the secret is these Uber awesome sunglasses that are not only stylish but can rock the tunes and nobody would even know. This helps me keep a low profile when I'm on the DL, I can discreetly listen to my favorite podcast or book all while relaxing without a care in the world.
Sound quality is superb and the fit is just about perfect, what that means is they will hold up while and not fall off your face. 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend these
The Bose Frames Tenor visually appear to be the same as any pair of big framed sunglasses, however, the arms look and feel very thick due to the electronics in them. Sadly though, these Frames are let down by cheap feeling plastic and a poorly fitted finish, this is disappointing considering Bose are renowned for producing high quality products with excellent finish and design. The headphones are well equipped in the sound department, with clear sounding speakers position conveniently near the ear controlled both by the built in controls as well as through the Bose app on both Android and Apple devices. The music sounds clear and vibrant yet doesn't over-power the surroundings allowing for a very natural mixture of both. The microphones produce great audio in phone calls allowing convenience in all situations. I thoroughly enjoyed the lenses, which are clear and protect your eyes from the sun with high quality polarised lens. Overall the sunglasses are still a gimmick but hopefully further design tweaks will allow greater adjustability for comfort and more intuitive controls for ease of use.
First of all, I have to say I didn't know this type of technology existed!! Speakers in sunglasses??!!! We are definitely living in some futuristic times!! Let me start by saying the packaging is awesome. They put alot of thought and care into the presentation and it really shows their level of quality. The design of the glasses is so modern and stylish!! I think they fit my face well and they look good on me. They aren't heavy and feel fairly lightweight considering there are speakers made in them. Now to the music feature. All I can say is whoa!! Before I get ahead of myself, the pairing process is super easy that I honestly believe my 9 year old can do it by himself. Once paired, you hear almost a theater type of sound which immediately blew me away!! I couldn't believe the quality!! I went to one of my playlist and started playing songs and I swear I was hearing instruments I had never ever heard before. Just awesome!! I don't even have the words to describe the feeling. I have gone for walks and jogs and was singing and probably looked crazy because who would think the music was coming from my sunglasses. Next up is phone calls. I like how the caller is announced, especially if it's not spam calls, and once I hit the button to answer, once again the quality comes through so strong. The voices are always so clear and they sound very smooth. I can't say enough great things about these glasses because I can't think of anything I dislike. I use these regularly and they have been a major conversation piece among family and friends. Definitely a 5 star item and I absolutely love them!!!
I got these about a month ago and i am so happy and i have fell in love with them they are perfect for my walks around the lake and my long drives in the mourning when the sun kills my eyes. I would recommend that they make them adjustable because i do have a big head but that all i would change. They sound great. And look fly.
Bose Frames Tenor sunglasses provide enough sun protection for your eyes while you exercise or drive. Bluetooth is quite easy to set up and use. They look a bit androgynous which is fine. They have a good sound and are comfortable to wear. The only cons it's a little big on the ears.
I was excited to get these sunglasses and they didn’t disappoint. Not only do they look good, but they sound even better. The glossy finish makes these frames look classy. I was worried they’d be too chunky or heavy, but they’re lightweight and fit me well. I specially love that I can listen to music without disturbing anyone. Also, being able to answer calls on the Bose Frames is a big plus. These sunglasses get a two thumbs up from me.
The first thing that I enjoyed about Bose Tenor was the design of the frames. They are even more comfortable than the first design . The second thing I enjoyed was the sound quality where the Tenor had a fuller and louder sound . I also enjoyed the Bluetooth stability . Tenor is an upgrade from the original frames because it features the reknowned Bose sound quality . I am pleased with the new product.
i really wanted to use these Tenor frames more but they are uncomfortable around the temple area. I cant use them for a longer period of time. I have a relative large head. Other family members enjoy them now. The sound is good, it doesn't have to be any louder. Just wish they would make frames that fit me.
I am so in love with my new Bose Tenor sunglasses. They came with a protective case. The material is high quality nylon . Looks and feels good . The size fits most people . Mine for my husband and my self . The sound is clear and very Bose quality. I like the fact that I can still hear passing cars and if someone is yelling at me . I can lift them up over my head when inside and still have the speakers close enough to hear the music . They will shut off when placed down on a table and save the battery. The battery life is 5 hours and will last all day if you only listen here and there for set hours during the day. I do not have any problems with battery life . The lens are interchangeable with blue or prescription lens if you want them that way. I have seen some will even take out the lens and go with no lens in them. The UV protection is great . You can change the volume by gently swiping you fingers across the bow. It was easy to connect to the app and my phone by Bluetooth. This is a great gift for someone who is outdoors a lot . They will love getting these. The material is modern and really nice quality . Made to last !
Something you need to know right off the bat, these WILL NOT replace your headphones. They aren't designed to do that. What they ARE designed for, however, they do an absolutely amazing job at: Giving you crisp, clear audio while still allowing you to hear your surroundings.
For such a small, small speaker, the audio quality coming out of these is simply fantastic.
- Lightweight. Don't feel unnaturally big. - Open-ear audio. You can still hear the world, environment, and conversations around you so long as the volume isn't turned up too high. - BUILT-IN microphone!! Compatible with Siri and Google Assistant. Seconds after the device is turned on, it's synced with blutooth and ready to use. - So long as your phone is less than 30 feet away, (the range of blutooth) you can pause and resume music, as well as accept or decline calls, all from the glasses themselves, with a single button.
I absolutely love these frames. Looks sleek and fresh. While the arms are slightly bulky, the sunglasses don't feel heavy on your face and are very comfy. I used them out while riding my moutain bike on the trails and they stay put. These are also great for motorcycle riders. Fits well with a helmet.
The sound quality is absolutely amazing considering these are sunglasses. They were extremely easy to connect to the Bose app and my phone Bluetooth. I really enjoy wearing these when I am outside doing yardwork or even while I am running outside. The volume is very loud, but you can also hear the surrounding noise around you. The only con that I have about these glasses is after long periods of wear they start to become uncomfortable. I wish there was a way to adjust how tight they are on the head. Overall, I would recommend these for anyone that is into sunglasses and also like to listen to music.
I use these sunglasses every day whilst exercising outside. The glasses are comfortable and stylish with clear & crisp audio.
The unique design means I no longer need in-ear headphones, which greatly increases my peripheral senses. The product has good battery life which typically lasts 1 week between charges. The intuitive features to change track, start/stop, adjust volume and then turn the glasses upside down to power off make it really simple to use.
The only negatives are that the charging cord provided is short and in loud surroundings the music can be hard to hear.
I love my Bose Tenor Frames! They're discreet and very comfortable. These sunglasses provide great protection from the sun and allow me to listen to my music and go about my day. The side panel features are very useful. It omits the need to take out your device to control the volume every time. That is on of my favorite features. It's hands free
That was my first reaction to the sound that come out of these glasses. Its surprisingly great for a little bundle and helps you hear outside noises while still listening to your jams! Also, THEY ARE SUNGLASSES! What a wonderful mix of products while still maintaining safety and style!
They won't block out noises, which is intentional, so you can carry on in your day and be safe crossing streets. They do provide nice sunglass coverage and the sound is really great! It's the the most bass-ful sound in the world? No, but its great enough to enjoy music while walking around. It hits a good balance and I think you'll really like them too!
Only drawback is that all the components fit in the side of the frames, so its really rigid. So if you have a larger head like me, you'll find a little discomfort as they don't flex at all.
I received these sunglasses a few weeks back and honestly they are the most incredible pair I have ever owned. I have always purchased Bose products as they have the highest quality sound. Never did I expect though that they would successfully get that type of sound quality into a pair of sunglasses (Especially without ear pieces), yet here we are. They very much were able to implement that incredible Bose quality sound into the frames of these sunglasses and the best part is that you don't have to worry about an earpiece falling out. They are very easy to use, after downloading the app, they connect to your smart phone. From there all I have to do is hit a small button under the frames, they activate, and connect right to my phone. I am able to play music through the frames, which sounds incredible. On top of that, I am able to take my phone calls through the frames. The individual on the other end can hear me speak clear as day and the same can be said for hearing them speak through the frames. These sunglasses are a revolution and I would highly recommend buying them.
First and foremost, let me begin with the fact that I was quite skeptical about these shades. How can sunglasses play any type of sound that could possibly sound good while running on the trail you ask? Well, these sunglasses do the trick and they do it well. They are absolutely incredible due to their snug fit which allows for me to run freely and quickly, but aside from that they just look really cool. When it comes down to it, the sound on these is absolutely shocking, in reference to how pristine and superior they do sound. It’s also pretty neat that you can receive phone calls on there all while enjoying the great view. I absolutely love my pair of Bose sunglasses and do highly recommend them.
These Bose Frames Tenor are like the future of sunglasses. From the material used to build these glasses to the super crisp HD audio, these glasses are the best out in the market. The setup was very easy, simply turn them on, download the Bose app and you are on your way to enjoying crisp audio with very stylish sunglasses. One of the features that attracted me to these glasses was the interchangeable lenses which will allow me to use my prescription lenses and that they are scratch-resistant. Overall, these Bose Frames Tenor have my two thumbs up and will recommend to anyone looking for stylish sunglasses, with HD audio and are user friendly.
First of all I want to start off by saying these sunglasses are so much fun. I love these. I can listen to my music without bothering anybody around me, but yet the sound is wonderful. These are super comfortable and they fit well. Very easy to use, and very easy to set up. I would recommend these to anybody looking for cool sunglasses and an easy way to listen to music without cutting off all sounds around you. I definitely recommend.
These give you the same great sound quality you'd expect from bose but in the amazing convenient form of sunglasses. I am impressed! I live music it makes everything better but when I'm working or outside walking or jogging the ear buds tend to get in my way so these are the perfect replacement. You can hear your music perfectly while wearing the sunglasses but not when you have them off so it doesn't bother other people around you!
I am super excited about these Sunglasses. They are light weight and very comfortable to wear However I felt they were to big for my face, I still love them. The sound quality is amazing and very clear to hear.My battery life when fully charged lasted about 7 hours. They fully charge in about 1 hour or less. The come in a nice hard case to protect them when not in use. I highly recommend these Sunglasses. I am a very happy customer.
I am a fan of new technology and I am also interested in design so these glasses seemed to be the ideal gadget for me. Here are my findings.
Opening the package: There is a black plastic case, a microfiber polishing cloth, charge cord, a manual and the glasses.
Charging and battery: Bose provides a magnetic USB charge cable. The magnetic part clips to one of the arms to charge and the charger port is hidden when being worn. The battery life is comparable to wireless headphones. Appr. 4 hours when I was using them.
Design First impression is that the material used for these glasses is not high end. Additionally, the bows look very thick. However, once I was wearing them I my reservations disappeared. The highlight is that they are super light. I expected them to be a bit heavy. The quality of the lenses is very good and provides a clear, shape image. The thickness of the bows is not a problem as well since the glasses feel very comfortable on my face. The only think to I would suggest to improve is a padding or a piece of rubber so they are softer on the nose but I did not have any issues with them slipping.
Sound quality In my opinion the sound quality is good. Some reviews said the sound is not loud enough but I find the sound to be really good. I think some people expect too much from specific devices that are physically not capable. If you would turn the volume up like crazy it would defeat the purpose of headphones and in that case it would be better to get a portable speaker. I must admit though that the bass could be stronger. Leaking audio is a problem with these glasses. People directly around you can hear some noise but not exactly identify what you are listening to. The speakers on each arm pointing to your ear.
Control Pretty much all basic commands are possible with the glasses, such as answer, decline, and redial. After the call is it will connect you back to the song you were listening to. I like the fact that you can control the volume with the glasses and the phone. The power button is on the bottom of one of the bows. You can simply turn the glasses off by flipping them upside down. I enjoyed the ability to pause with the power button and to go to the next song when pushing it twice and go back when pushing it three times.
Even though I found as many con's as pro's I would say that the pro's are overruling the con's. I would buy these glasses again and also buy them as a gift for friends and family.
Pro's: - Audio quality and control through the glasses w/o having to use the smartphone - Super light - Stylish with Polarized Lenses - Easy pairing
Con's: - Bass could be stronger - Audio leakage - No DC transformer included but only USB cord - You need to use the special magnetic charging cable
Having a lot of fun with these.. They look fun, I had been thinking about them for a bit and finally decided to give them a try.
A little bummed that Bose dropped their Audio AR program and that this generation of frames did not include that feature.
Let's talk about these now!
If you want deep base or noise cancellation, these are not for you.. If you want wearable audio tech that allows you to listen to a podcast or music selection and maintain awareness of everything around you, then these are definitely for you!
It amazes me that I can listen to music on these and barely affect the people around me.. they can hardly hear what's going on... I can drive in the car, listen to music without bothering my significant other and still carry on a conversation and maintain awareness of everything going on around me.
I can listen to music while walking around the neighborhood and still hear the traffic around me, the kids playing and neighbors that call out and say "hi!"
Working in the yard, washing the car, sitting in the sun. they are great..
Considering the tech and the fact that they are not even "on the ear" headphones, the sound is pretty amazing.. I like the term "sound stage" when talking about audio technology and these have a fairly wide sound stage and the audio is immersive without being overwhelming. Like I said these are not isolating headphones but they are great for maintaining awareness around you and enjoying your music...
It's nice to be able to double tap the right temple and activate my digital assistant.
It's nice to be able to slide my finger across the right temple to adjust the volume..
I can take or decline a call without picking up my phone.
I like that they have replaceable lenses and am looking at the blue mirrored polarized lenses.
From a phone call perspective, they are not as noise isolating as the QC line, but they do a good job on a call, they don't do as good a job isolating background noise on my end from the caller, and that is ok..
These are by far my primary headphones, but they are a lot of fun!
I received the Tenor frames as a gift and can say that I was really impressed with the sound quality and ease of set up. The frames are really easy to use and are up and running in minutes. I was surprised that despite the chunky arms of the glasses, they fit really comfortably From a personal perspective, I think a mat finish would be better as the glossy finish makes them look a bit cheap.
The sunglasses sadly fit very tightly around the head and lack any adjustment for comfort with very poor and sharp build quality. The actual interaction with the sunglasses can be difficult and not user friendly, this can be frustrating to use. The sound quality is impressive for the size but lacks any real depth that Bose audio quality always has. Overall I wouldn't recommend but maybe next iteration will improve on the few flaws the design has.
These sunglasses are great because they are like no others. I love that you can have stylish sunglasses as well as built in speakers, the speakers have great quality sound and and are very easy to link up to your bluetooth. I love the look of the sunglasses as they are very on trend and even with speakers built in they look great. Overall i would deffo recommend these sunglasses as they are brilliant and one step ahead in technology.
As an avid runner, these sunglasses give me the benefit of being able to run on open roads without the danger of having ear buds in. The open ear audio allows me to be able to experience the noise around me whilst listening to my music. This means that I can hear when cars are approaching.
The glasses are comfortable to wear, and easy to use. The sound quality is what you would expect from Bose. Impressively rich bass given their small form factor.
The on glasses controls make it easy to operate your phone without needing to get it out of your pockets.
The polarised lenses that come with the glasses are fantastic, and if you have never had polarised before, you are missing out. The fact that you can swap them out and create your own style is a real bonus.
The only reason that I give the glasses 4 stars is because of their limited use. You cant really sit at your desk at work and use these headphones. For this reason you will need to own another pair of headphones.
If you spend a lot of time outdoors and want to be able to listen to your music, definitely consider these.
Great glasses, high quality of sound, I really love these glasses the style of them is a 6/10 and they are very expensive but they are such a good idea I cannot fault the overall concept.. wireless, easy to charge and easy to use.
First of all, what an interesting concept! Being able to listen to music while having your ears completely open is really intriguing.
The sound quality is very good, as you'd expect from Bose. The best way to describe the feeling is that it is as if you were in a room that had a speaker playing music next to you. You can listen to the music but you are also hearing 100% of the environment.
The frames are fine, although given that they are a "one size fits all", they will not be for everyone. The concept of swapping lenses is interesting... but I don't think they really work for anything other than dark sunglasses.
Which takes me to the main drawbacks:
1) While the idea of being able to hear the surroundings is good in principle, it means that if you are on a busy road you'll just, you know, struggle to hear the music!
2) as sunglasses go, it is good and decently stylish. But once the sun is gone or you go into an enclosed space (e.g.: train, bus, store) where you'll take the sunglasses off, then... how do you listen to the music?
Overall a good piece of tech but very niche. It can be a replacement for sunglasses, but they are a little heavy and bulky due to the electronics and can be tiring after a while. But it just can't be a replacement for earbuds: once you don't want to / can't wear them but still want to listen to music, you will need to take your traditional earbuds/headphones with you!
I have been using the Bose Frame Tenor glasses for the last 3 weeks and they have exceeded my expectations more than I had imagined. The glasses come in a premium case that would rival anything from Ray-Bans. Set up was fairly straightforward with easy controls to pair them to your phone as well as basic music controls. The volume on the music isn’t very high and I found that I got the best out of them when wearing in enclosed spaces. It feels very refreshing to listen to music from behind your ears without having earbuds or headphones hanging in or over your head. They are a bit heavy on the ears and I wish they could be a little lighter. Battery life is excellent and I am still going on 3 weeks with a single charge. As a pair of sunglasses, they do look the part and I found I had adequate protection for my eyes while out in the sun. Overall a great product from Bose which ties in with their excellent range of noise cancellation headphones.
These are fantastic the sound quality is amazing yet give you great social awareness and can quite easily hear conversations They are really good sunglasses aswel My only downside is I'm a tradesman so my hands are not fresh moisturised soft skin and do appear to put minor surface scratches where the gesture controls are. Other than the previous tiny issue above I really can't fault these amazing piece of kit
i was sceptical about these, but I'm a Bose fan, and again these do disappoint! They are comfortable to wear, there is no awkwardness to them, they do really look like any other sunglasses. Sound wise, again, not overpowering so you are able to hear what is going on around you on a walk. I really like these a lot !
First off, the sound from these things is remarkable. There are two tiny slots in either arm that direct the audio into your ear, and the audio quality is really good. You can still hear ambient sounds though, so these would be great for walking or outdoor exercising.
The sunglasses themselves are fine, depending on your head these may feel a little tight, which means wearing them for long periods of time gets a bit uncomfortable.
From the minute you put these on you will be amazed and the sound, great bass, clear vocals while have no loss to your surroundings, so for me they are perfect for my daily commute to work, they allow me to cycle to work while being able to hear all the traffic around me, allowing to know i am safer on the road and still enjoy my music and podcasts.. only downside is i cycle home late at night and cant use them, but this is a minor grievance, and cant wait for the spring and more sunshine,
