Product Information

Small Speakers, Big Surround Sound

You want to hear the car chases and explosions. You want to savor the guitar solos and sweeping verses. You want to be in the middle of all the action, and the Bose Surround Speakers put you there. Designed exclusively to pair with the Bose Soundbar 500 or the Bose Soundbar 700, these unobtrusive rear surround speakers provide sweeping sound that adds to your movies, sports, and TV shows.

When it comes to rear surround speakers, the only thing you want to stand out is the sound. Standing less than 4" tall, the Bose Surround Speakers fit right in with sound that stands out.

Simple Setup

Adding these surround speakers to your soundbar leads to a thrilling, theater-like experience. And the setup? Simple. Two wireless receivers accompany the speakers to facilitate a wireless connection to the soundbar. Once connected, you have a premium acoustic setup to complement the powerful performance of the soundbar.

Complete the Package

Want another compact option to kick the performance up a notch? Adding a bass module — like the Bose Bass Module 500 or the Bose Bass Module 700 — can complete the package for full, room-rocking sound. Both bass modules have a wireless range of 30 feet and fit nicely in any room. It’s the difference between just hearing bass and feeling thunder.

Love it.
Very happy I bought these, got the stand too and they are sick. Easy to increase the volume on the rear speakers, just need to download the SoundTouch app and go into speaker settings, I have my surround speakers set on +5 and they love it. Also really easy to hear the foot steps on call of duty.

Not worth the money
Have had them for about a year. The cats have pulled on the cord and ripped it out from the back, so they are no longer useable. Not Bose fault but they could make the plugs better. Also the hooks to hold the speaker's up are proprietary so you have no choice but to shell out for Bose attachments. The speaker's have no volume control whatsoever and sometimes I just want more sound out of them. When they do work it's good but what surround sound system isn't. I have an lg tv and the Bose 700 system is constantly disconnecting from it, I have another friend with the same system and he has the same problem. I also own the sub and it died on me. Sent it to Bose very well packaged, they fixed it and sent it back quite quickly, however they poorly packaged it and it got damaged in transport. Took me about a month back and forth to get them to take it back and fix it. Thankfully it's working well. Anyway if I had my choice of picking Bose over the lg bar with built in Atmos, I'd go that. it's compatible with my lg OLED and the surround sound is all in one bar instead of needing to buy two back speakers and I've got a friend with this setup and it sounds absolutely amazing. Blows my Bose out of the water. Sorry bose. Your headsets are good though.

Amazing addition
I have the soundbar and the woofer since two years and skeptical about spending money on these seemingly small and harmless speakers. I bought them last week and was literally amazed. they make everything different. Music and movie become really sourrounding full of middle range before almost absent. the bass befor powerfull and hard becomes deep and smooth. i strongly suggest.

Waste of money really !!, its the most complicated
i got the soundbar 700 with sub last week , not only took me hrs to just pair them , i gave up a few times over the days ,i also got the soundtouch 20 and 30 and they have been a nightmare , everytime u play music from my phone on Bluetooth it just cuts out every 30sec or so and that on both the items
so overall they do sound great when it works , but after paying 1000's on bose products i think i im over it and will be selling it all and just go with another brand

Small surround sound speakers with some issues
Having recently purchased a Bose 500 sound bar I elected to buy the supporting surround sound speakers which for the most part fit the bill, although there are some issues.
The set up is a little painful with having to insert cables and screw them into place, and whilst they are small, the power packs are larger than the speakers themselves. I have found also that they loose contact with the sound bar on occasion and I need to unplug the Bose 500 and reset it, which then allows for the to reconnect.

The speakers can be controlled via the app and the sound quality is good, as long as you remember that these output 5.1 surround sound and are not meant to act as two additional speakers that out the same sound as your sound bar. They work a treat on nature shows and I can hear animals walking through the leaves on the ground. If this is the level of detail that you are looking for from your sound system, I’d recommend these.

My dog startled.
I live in a 1100 sqft townhome. I setup my TV and the speakers in my basement 10' x 15' with adjacent open den room beside and a short hallway at the back. I added this pair of speakers to my soundbar 700 and subwoofer 500. It did completed the 5.1 setup even though I basically only have 3 speakers and a sub. The experience was phenomenal. I was watching Shrek 2 with my dog lying beside me on my left arm and startled her when the sudden horse galloping came from the left rear channel! And it did startled me too because of her. This pair of speakers produce nice sparkling sound, bird chirping and wolf howling. And the part of the movie when it was raining it sound like it is raining inside my basement. The sound of water dropping and flowing was so real. I am very impressed. I was watching bluray format in my Sony PS3. The setup of this speaker may require proper wiring. Make sure when connecting the wires they are completely inserted inside and hand tightened the tiny screws. It's not perfect wireless because each speakers are connected to this huge box. I am still trying to figure out how to hide them.

How many surround sound speakers can you connect to the Bose 700 bar?
Wildog5385 on Nov 3, 2019
The Bose Soundbar 700 supports one subwoofer and one pair of surround speakers.
How are the surround speakers powered?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2019
Thanks for your inquiry! These speakers use conventional power plugs to connect to a wall outlet. They are not rechargeable; they require constant connection to power. Their wireless function is just to get signal from the soundbar without speaker wires.
Are the 300 virtual speakers as good as the surround sound speakers?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2019
Speaker sound quality evaluation is very persoonal and individual. We provide a 60 day home audition period so that you can listen and decide is they're the right speaker for you.
