Product Information

Small Speakers, Big Surround Sound

You want to hear the car chases and explosions. You want to savor the guitar solos and sweeping verses. You want to be in the middle of all the action, and the Bose Surround Speakers put you there. Designed exclusively to pair with the Bose Soundbar 500 or the Bose Soundbar 700, these unobtrusive rear surround speakers provide sweeping sound that adds to your movies, sports, and TV shows.

When it comes to rear surround speakers, the only thing you want to stand out is the sound. Standing less than 4" tall, the Bose Surround Speakers fit right in with sound that stands out.

Simple Setup

Adding these surround speakers to your soundbar leads to a thrilling, theater-like experience. And the setup? Simple. Two wireless receivers accompany the speakers to facilitate a wireless connection to the soundbar. Once connected, you have a premium acoustic setup to complement the powerful performance of the soundbar.

Complete the Package

Want another compact option to kick the performance up a notch? Adding a bass module — like the Bose Bass Module 500 or the Bose Bass Module 700 — can complete the package for full, room-rocking sound. Both bass modules have a wireless range of 30 feet and fit nicely in any room. It’s the difference between just hearing bass and feeling thunder.

Support is Dreadful
Box says Virtually Invisible Series II. Good luck finding them in a seach. They don't pair with the soundbar 500. Product support is non-existent.

Hello. I have a Cinemate 2 system. Will the surround speakers link with soundtouch wireless link adapter via WiFi?

Surround sound is rubbish used with Soundbar 700
I have the same issue as a previous person.
I bought them last month. I’m a big fan of Bose speakers. I have had 701's for decades.
I dont need to write this myself as my problem is exactly the same. So i will copy the content from "Banniish"

"
However, I found a crazy thing about these surround speakers. I was playing music and realized it was not a clear and smooth sound form the surrounds. I tried to figure out what wrong was with it. Here is the funny result!!! When you turn down the center level to -10 (doesn’t matter what the surrounds level is) from SoundTouch app audio settings, the surrounds become incredibly clear and kind of louder! When you turn the center level up to +10 (w/o touching the surrounds level), oh my god!!! They sound like a 20$ portable speaker!!! I even go further to make sure I was not wrong! I put the speakers in a room, closed the door so I was able to hear the surround speakers alone! Disappointingly, the same results! I tested them playing music on Youtube (using HDMI ARC connection), via Bluetooth, and on my computer (using HDMI cable). The same results. . Please don’t tell me if I’ve run ADAPTiQ calibration or not. I’ve sure done.
"
My summary is, if you turn the centre channel down the surround speaker volume and quality increase substantially. Yes the channel quality changes dramatically.

I dont understand how people can rave about this surround system, maybe they have never had a good one to compare to.

I completely regret buying this system.

Again, the same results. Please don’t tell me if I’ve run ADAPTiQ calibration or not. I’ve sure done. Please test yours first and tell me if mine and my friend’s are defective or it’s an issue for this model. (I know these and Virtually invisible 300 are identical). If I don’t find an answer to this issue, I will have to return them and look for another soundbar system cuz I had a plan to have a 5.1 sound system when I bought the soundtouch 300 in the first place.

Not too good
I got these surround speakers maybe almost a year. To be frank, I am not satisfied with it. The sounds are not even noticeable. It’s so slow. I paired it with my soundbar 700 and bass module 700. I don’t what to do to make it work good!!

Was apprehensive about getting these! NOT NOW!
I read review after review `about these and they really are 50:50 for and against. I saw reviews like they add nothing, they are muffled etc etc. Its taken me 3 years to finally decide to get these and complete my system and they are awesome. They add the depth of sound that is missing from 2.1 system and so glad I invested. East to setup and easy to adjust for your room and listening preferences.

Great buy in my book but you have to set them up for your taste.

The only negative and its a small one is Bose on the next edition should reduce the size of the receiver and amplifier for them.

Not great for the price
Purchased these wireless surround speaker to complete the 5.1.2 home theatre experience but i really got disappointed for the quality of the output vs price. Just for the name its wireless but the really its come with long black speaker cables wire and we need to hide it. Have to Screw the wire to the adapter which not so great design in 2019.. most of the time the wires comes out the screw. The quality of surround is not good i hardly feel the difference with and without surround. Did the adapt IQ but no use.
Pros:- simple design with classic look
Cons:- price, minimal output , bad design, not fully wireless

How many surround sound speakers can you connect to the Bose 700 bar?
Wildog5385 on Nov 3, 2019
The Bose Soundbar 700 supports one subwoofer and one pair of surround speakers.
How are the surround speakers powered?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2019
Thanks for your inquiry! These speakers use conventional power plugs to connect to a wall outlet. They are not rechargeable; they require constant connection to power. Their wireless function is just to get signal from the soundbar without speaker wires.
Are the 300 virtual speakers as good as the surround sound speakers?
A shopper on Jun 16, 2019
Speaker sound quality evaluation is very persoonal and individual. We provide a 60 day home audition period so that you can listen and decide is they're the right speaker for you.
