Appealing features
Noise cancellation poor as it comes through with a time delay that sounds like an echo. Noise cancelation poor as it comes through with a time delay and makes it sound like an echo when watching movies on TV with a Bluetooth adaptor. Also instructions for use and details too difficult to find online, simple written instructions are much more useful unless you are a techno geek.

Trust is broken!
I bought this today and realised that the sound quality is okay and the noise cancellation is okay as compared to the price that was paid for these headphones. No doubt Bose is meant for the quality of what I heard before and quality now, differs a lot. Also, the volume needs to kept high in order to listen to music or watching YT videos. Currently, I am using this with my iPhone 11 and iPad air 3 and yet the quality is okay. Wish there was an option to tweak equaliser to tweak the sound profile of these headphones because the sound profile is really low.

Useless after reconnect problems
Problem: I have 2 Bose QuietComfort 35 series 2 headphones with me and both of them are facing the same problem. And both started along the same time period. After few minutes of using the headphones, the bluetooth gets disconnected and reconnects automatically without any user intervention. It is very annoying to have 700$ worth of headphones becoming useless (Especially during the pandemic time).

Note that I have had good experience with these headphones until this problem started. After the problem has started, the headphones irritated me more than the comfort :P

Troubleshooting:
I have tried the following.
1. Clearing the device list and repairing again.
2. Resetting the headphones.
3. Changing the Bluetooth name and repairing again.
4. Updating the firmware using "Bose updater". The software is at 4.5.2 (latest at the time of this review).
5. Tried connecting to Macbook, iPad, Windows and Android devices. And the problem is reproducible with all kinds of connections.

I have googled for solution. But then there is NO post which points to a working solution for me. It is kind of sad to see so many users facing the same issue, over multiple years, and there is no solution yet for this problem.

Don't trust the review ? Google for Bose and reconnect.

An honest review from a average consumer
Before I get into it I will say I am using a iPhone X. Sound may vary slightly or significantly depending on the device you are using. To start of I will say I have owned a pair of black Bose QC35II for about 3 and a half years now. These are very special headphones. Some of you reading this might be thinking “jack you should have gotten the sony or the senhieser or the bowers & Wilkins” some of you reading this may want to know if you should get a pair of Bose QC35II or NC700. Simple answer. Get the Bose QC35II they are better in every aspect. Great for gaming, great for music, great for music. Now I’m gonna get nerdy and get into some specs and what I do to make these headphones better. What makes these headphones so special is the active sound management for every volume level. Bose has used this technology for years and years but every time they come out with a new headphone. It gets better and better. Low volumes sound rich and full. High volumes sound rich and full. High volumes on the QC35II can come off as sharp sometimes. I feel as if the Bose QC35II lean towards the iPhone users side. From better audio to ease of use the iPhone is superior. I think this may be due to the fact Bose works directly with apple to use the same audio codec as apple (aac). Below you will see some photos off the frequency response of the Bose QC35II. Very very well rounded headphones. The bass is clean and tight. Proper (excellent). The midrange is very crystal clear and adds almost like a echo presence to the music (fantastic) and the treble is wavy and can be sharp at high volumes. (Good but not great). I use a third party app for Spotify premium called “MyUra” With the app I am able to upsample. Choose how soft or hard the music is (algorithm) and i am able to change any frequency between 16hz and 32khz. This is good but you have to be proper when changing frequency response. Don’t just go all out with bass. These headphones have plenty of high and mid bass... what these headphones suffer in is very low LFE (low frequency extension/effects) I know that Samsung and lg have sound correction built into their phones. They play a series of frequencies and you click yes or no if you can hear it or not. Then it adjust the sound accordingly. Which is nice I’ve read good things about the sound correction on Samsung. keep in mind this is important, EVERYBODY’S EARS ARE DIFFERENT. These headphones are very comfortable. These headphones are also very special to me. They are red white and blue. I went for colors that represent the usa. And I’m just a kid from a small town in Ohio. But I love this country and that’s why I decided to create these headphones. These are not the kind of headphones to be working out with. Unless you are rich and can afford 10 pairs. The noise cancelling is now a little out of date since the NC700 came out. But still better than the NC700 in every aspect. I recommend the website “Rtings” for headphone reviews. They cover everything. And they also have a direct comparison between the Bose QC35II and the Bose NC700.

Worked well briefly
These worked great for a few years. However they randomly started turning on (even when toggle is turned to off). So essentially they are useless as every time I go to use them the battery is dead. As I researched this issue online it’s apparently quite common. I’ve contacted support and their solution is to purchase a new pair. Sadly I don’t want to spend more money on an item that I have no faith in and have to keep repurchasing every two years. I would recommend a different brand.

Right ear blown out???
I got this as a gift recently and when I went to turn it on today, I noticed a muffled sound. I turned the item on and off and that's when the sound cut out completely on the right ear. I'm confused as to why this would happen considering how expensive the product is. I can also guarantee that I do not listen to the music at full volume, to the point where a speaker would stop working. I googled how to possibly fix this problem and apparently it's common for the right ear to stop working?

After I had purchase two headphones from worldwide and you guys was so nice and help me out great with the cancellation and refund. I had decided to purchase the Sennheiser PXC 550 through Amazon after 5 days of using it. I did not like the noise cancellation I could still hear my surrounding and the sound was okay. After my friend had me try on the Bose Q35 II I was sold. This is my final purchase.

Do these also have a built in mic to talk on the phone?
World L on Jan 10, 2018
They absolutely do! It has an excellent microphone, designed to work well even in crowded or noisy areas. It may not perform perfectly in all situations, but we have found it to offer excellent clarity in nearly all situations.
Can I pair these with my apple watch and iPhone 6s?
A shopper on Dec 23, 2017
These headphones will be able to pair with almost any Bluetooth transmitting device, including your smartwatch and smartphone.
