Customer Reviews for Bose QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise-Canceling Headphones
I received a pair for Christmas last year and used them for the London commute. Noise cancelling works a treat and the sound quality is top grade... BUT, within 3 months the right cup just stopped working. It happened in the space of 30 mins with no knocks at all. Sent them back in March and got a new pair. Coming home from commute and 3 months later, it happens again. No knocks, scrapes or damage. Even avoided folding them to make sure wires weren't stressed. Major flaw in the architecture of the design I'd imagine, so stay clear until it's resolved. Wish I had got another pair : |
Now, I was at first a bit hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of headphones as I had never really spent over £160 on a single pair of headphones. In the end as you have probably already guessed I ended up purchasing these truly amazing headphones. Honestly I listen to songs and I hear things I didn’t even know were there before. These headphones have an amazing way of making you feel as though you’re actually in the room with band-orchestra. Firstly, vocals blow you away. At times higher pitched singers can be a bit uncomfortable on louder settings but trust me, these headphones play notes just as well if not better than the musician intended. Now, what I’m sure most of you want to know is how good the sound cancelling actually is? Well, I shall simply say… I have never had a more relaxing experience on train, sitting in the back of a car or sitting in a noisy environment. However, don’t purchase these headphones expecting them to cancel out voices and loud speakers of such, yes they will cancel the noise out to a degree but these headphones are not designed to cancel voices. Now, how long can you wear these headphones before your ears become sore? Hot? The simple answer is I can happily wear these to up to about 17 hours before I need to even consider taking them off. They allow your ears to breath and have just the right amount of applied pressure to make sure they stay firmly on your head but not too much that you constantly notice them. Fortunately the bass on these headphones has lived up too Bose ‘base supremacy’ in the audio industry at times I have found myself with my mouth wide open at the power and perfect delivery, and sometimes I have even so caught up in the beauty of the sound quality I break into a full dance. When I put these headphones on everything around me just drops away and its just me, my work and my music. Cons: I have noticed a fair bit of sound leaks (when people around you can also hear you music) which in my personal opinion leads to restrictions on the use of the headphones out In public. Also, the silver casing on the sides of the black & blue version is hollow. Unfortunately, I put my chord in the wrong way and zipped my case up only to latter discover I have dented the sides around my noise cancelling switch (This has annoyed me a fair bit as now the actual use of the switch has become far rougher and stiff) I’m not sure if this was just to bring the cost of producing the product down or just a poorly thought out design issue (which I’m pretty sure its not as Bose have been known to look over every tiny detail in ridiculous amounts of detail) but none the less annoys me. Other than that I would 100% recommend these headphones to anyone, weather you love deep bass, high acoustics or awesome guitar solos these are definitely the headphones for you! The price you might think is a bit much but they are well worth every penny! I bought mine from John Lewis as I wanted to pick them up and try them on but I’m sure online purchase will work just fine. Again awesome pair of headphones well worth it!
just back from the store in frankfurt where i tried several different brands of similar level, including wireless. what can i say, Qc25 is the best. in terms of sould clarity, the bass, the noice cancelling, the comfort of fit. initially wanted to buy QC35- wireless because i have iphone 7 without audiojack, but unfortunately the sound quality inferior. so bought QC25.
Great noise canceling feature. Horrible build quality
I really wish that Bose would put some effort into building a quality pair of headphones. I have had to return my QC25 headphones twice because the noise canceling feature stopped working.
I am still under the 1 year warranty but it's worrisome that they have had to replace two pairs of headphones with the same problem. For such an expensive pair of headphones I would expect them to last more than a couple of months.
The good news is that when they work they are really great. They do a wonderful job of canceling out the train noise from my commute. And on a long haul flight they are essential travel gear.
I am now again waiting for Bose to fix my headphones and it's amazing how loud the city is without them.
When they work they are incredible but it's frustrating dealing with sloppy quality control issues.
I am a very loyal Bose customer.I have a docking station,Computer speakers, ear buds and I have a pair of OE's I bought 7 yrs ago and they still work perfectly I just needed something to drown out the loudness of the commuter train.I was torn between these and going wireless. If wireless had noise cancelling I would have went that way but since they don't I went with the 25's and it was a great decision. It still has the great Bose sound quality and with the noise cancelling you don't have to turn the music up very loud to enjoy it.My only gripe is the cord is way to long. Most folks who use these are commuters and the cord gets tangled way too easily and gets caught on various objects way too easy. You may want to think about shortening the cord.Other than that, one of the best purchases I made in a long time. Now Bose, make some wireless noise cancelers and I'll really be happy!
to start things of i'm just a kid, but in my opinion these are worth every single penny i paid, which was very hard for me to do, since i had to collect money for such a long time. my only complaint is the bass
Easy to use and great sound quality. It enabled me to study in places where it is not completely quiet, by simply putting on the headphone with noise cancelling or listening to instrumental music. It really helped to focus on studying and mindless tasks.
Bough a pair a year ago. Use them primarily to listen to music on the plane but also for conference calls. Great noise cancelling (best of any product I've used), good sound quality. Very comfortable. Battery life seems better than advertised. My last pair were stolen and I immediately replaced them.
I've had my QC25 for about 18month but only use them when traveling out of Afghanistan to California. All of a sudden the right speaker stops working unless a touch it just right and then I can hear audio out of it. I was in a bind on my trip home so I brought some QC35 instead of Beats. I really like them but I still prefer the battery capacity of the QC25 and want to know how to get them repaired.
I have had these since March / April, and they are essential for any regular flyer, when they are operational.
The NC works brilliantly and enables me to concentrate fully without the background noise of the aeroplane. Sound quality is excellent with NC on, but not good without. Note that they do not cope well with wind, so are not so suitable for use on the London Underground unless you position yourself out of the draft.
Unfortunately these headphones cannot be very well manufactured.
The left ear has stopped working completely after just 12 weeks of use! I'm particularly unimpressed as I have used them irregularly (only when flying, so twice a week) and have looked after them with great care.
Given the price, it's a real shame to see such unreliability. I thought Bose was supposed to be a premium brand??
So, an initial 4 stars for comfort, sound quality and aesthetics, but minus 3 stars for the fact they have malfunctioned so quickly and are now unusable.
Time for me to test their support and service abilities I guess.
As others say - the noise cancelling is great, but the design of the case (and folding mechanism) meant that they only lasted three months despite being well looked after. Fundamental design fault - avoid.
These headphones are so comfortable, amazing sound quality, and great appearance and design. One small little issue is that the top part of the ear cushions is tearing a bit. Other than that, amazing headphones. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family.
I purchased this headset as a gift, one year ago. The right side ear phone was fading in and out. I called customer service- Excellent customer service!!!! Bose stood by the one year warranty. A new replacement was quickly shipped to me.
I have had and have many different Bose products to include a pair of QC15's. I bought these last year and was initially pleased with the purchase. Unfortunately as of last week, the left speaker has quit working. I travel weekly and am typically on a flight on Monday and Friday and that is when these were used. I packed them in the carrying case every time and never mishandled the headphones. As I look at my problem online, it appears that this is a common problem. I have went back to the QC15's as I refuse to pay another $300 for something that doesn't last. Amazing that my 15's have lasted 6 years now, withstanding the same type of travel.
Wonderful headphones no question, however. There is an obvious design flaw, the folding mechanism perhaps.... The right can on my first pair abruptly stopped working. Replaced no problem, a couple of months later and my second pair are intermittent in the right can, so they will be going back too. Lightly used and meticulously looked after, such a shame. Unimpressed.
I work in a noisy office. Plus sounds in general can give me headaches. Though it says not voice cancelling but noise cancelling, it does voices to some extent as well. I had the headphones on and the noise cancelling turned on but nothing else. Silence. Someone came up to me and started talking and didn't even hear her. If people are REALLY loud, then it'll come through barely and muffled. And if you've got music on as well, then voices are gone. Bose quality once again rules. It says it's for Apple devices but it'll work for any device. The only thing is they can't promise the control on the headphone cord will control the volume, etc., if not plugged into an Apple device. But I don't care. I've tested it with my laptop and sure enough the volume control and mic don't work unless plugged into an Apple device. Blown away by their noise cancelling ability and the sound. Magnificent sound. Normally I don't like over the ears headphones but absolutely love these. Most comfortable over the ear headphones I've ever tried.
I've been through 3 pairs of these now, and like other reviewers here i've ended up with one ear or the other going dead between 3 to 6 months. For a £260+ set of headphones this simply is acceptable, there's clearly an issue that needs addressing.
They're absolutely brilliant !!!..... if they work
I bought mine April May this year, at Gatwick airport.... looked after them diligently, but now after 3 months the right ear piece won't connect... i.e. it's knackered.... so presently I'm waiting on a response to the warranty serial no: and claim to see the BOSE response... I'll keep you posted and update accordingly... Jim - Co Durham
I got these to listen to WJR game as the Spartans played them. As the game came to the end and MSU won the crying was so loud I put the Bose earphones on and they blocked out all the crying. They blocked out 100,000 crying fans out.
i purchased these for travel and they came in handy on my most recent flight with a large number of children. They maintained their comfort throughout a five hour flight, and th sound quality was exemplary! Only wish there was a wireless option.
Peaceful Mind while PlaneEngine Malfunction(CHAOS)
I bought QuiteComfort 25 end of 2015. I was on the plane back to home and got seat on top of the wing where you can really feel the sound of flying LOL. As usual I started my QuiteComfort 25 noise cancelling and played my favorite Mozart playlist. It suddenly transported me to soundless zone and in an auditorium Mozart was playing for me. It was about 2 hours flight but after 30 min or so, the person next to me shook me out of the Mozart and enquired how I'm doing. I really couldn't understand the context so I removed my headphones and spoke to him. He explained me that there were loud noise came out one side of the engine and it may be malfunctioning. It took me while to process and pilot announced right after that and we ended up landing next airport safely, I learnt later that was safety precaution and airline done a awesome job!!! I realized later that how I was able to be at peace while in chaos situation. I really appreciate the headphones and quality of the noise cancelling feature. It really transports me to my own Mozart Jungle. Bose really transforms/transports/sounds better!!!
I got these for my birthday, and I must say I'm impressed. I needed good sound, awsome noise cancellation, and good durability. My dad has the QC3, and these blow them out of the water, comparing sound, noise cancelling, etc. SOUND QUALITY: If you're looking for nice higs, warm mids, and not a lot of bass, these are perfect for you. They are a little lacking in bass, but I am not looking for something with that anyway. 5 stars DURABILITY: These are VERY durable, and I have dropped them a couple times, and they have been good. Very light scratches, but nothing noticeable. I have seen people almost bend these flat, and no damage has been done. 5 stars EASE OF USE: What is there to say? I opened these up, put the battery in, plugged the cable in and I was off! These are really easy to use, and the switch is easy to find in the dark. 5 Stars. NOISE CANCELLATION: Now we get to the big one. When I put these on, (almost) complete silence! I mean, you can still hear people talking, stuff like that. When I put these on in the car, as the passenger, I can hear NO ambient noise. No cars, no nothing. I haven't had the chance to test these out on an airplane yet, but I assume I will get the same result. I also like that you can use it without power, which is something the QC3s lack entirely. 5 Stars. CONCLUSION: Overall, these headphones deliver great sound, great durability, are easy to use, and have top-of-the-line noise cancellation. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to buy a good, solid, pair of headphones. These are the best headphones I have ever used.
After a airline trip to Alaska I knew that I wanted noise cancelling headphones. As far as I'm concerned Bose is the leader in noise cancelling technology. Although the QC25 headphones aren't cheap they are well worth the price and I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy them. Unbelievable.
I got my QC25's as a graduation present from some family friends so that I could "tune out my roommate and thus get better grades in school." As far as over the ear headphones go, the QC25 looks sleek, as minimalist as possible, and just sexy. Sound wise, the active noise crenelation is the best available and the headphones weight base heavily (not necessarily a bad thing). The headphones hold an extraordinary amount of sound pressure due to them being so close backed for noise cancellation purposes. When confronted with an issue with the headphones, Bose Customer Service gave me a replacement set quickly and for free. Not to mention the fact they let me switch to the even cooler matte triple black ones too. I have since bought QC25's for all of my family members and a close friend of mine...absolutely my go to gift. I highly recommend these for someone who wishes to have small, over the ear, closed back, active noise cancellation headphones. Great Product. Great Company.
To my fellow travelers, I bought these as an upgrade to my QC15 that I've been using now for about 4 years on many business trips. I needed to replace the pads on the QC15 and thought why not just upgrade now. I really like the looks of the new QC25 much better than the QC15 especially when you have them on. But, I had the QC25 for about 3 weeks on several flights before returning. I really wanted to like these but a few of issues were just too hard for me to live with especially versus the amazing older model (I actually didn't even know how good the older model was until I tried several competitors and the the new QC25). I'll start off by saying I've tried some other brands (Sony, Beats) on the market and no doubt both the Bose QC15 and QC25 are the standard to beat. This is why I rated high. Both have amazing noise canceling ability. And if I had never lived with the QC15, with it's amazing experience, I wouldn't have these comments below and would have kept the QC25 and probably rated it 5 stars in stead of 4. If some of these can be addressed in future models, I would be forever grateful :) 1. The new QC25 headband is using some type of foam on the inside of the headband to sit on your head and it's very narrow. For me about 30 min into a flight this really starts to feel uncomfortable like a bar is sitting on the top of my head. I believe it's too hard and just too narrow. When I moved back to the QC15 which has a fat flat leather bar on the inside to compare on the same flight, I could barely feel it even after the remaining couple of hours of flight. I tried adjusting as much as I could to get this bar off my head, but it just starts to feel really bad after a while to me. My Pro Sony MDR7506 that I use at home in my studio, designed for hours of DJ use also has the very wide leather headband on the inside. Please bring back the wide, soft headband for the top on the next model. 2. I know sound is very subjective, but as other commenters have made, the QC15 has a much softer sound than the QC25 and for me is much more relaxing. When putting on the QC15 on a flight I would find myself turning the volume down periodically until it was almost off. At that point there was a wonderful well balanced sound with the volume almost all the way down. This proved to me flight after flight how amazing the noise canceling and audio design was on these. On the QC25, the more I turned down the volume, the more piercing it became. I tried some eq changes from the source, but could never quite get back to softer sound of the QC15. I used both headphones swapping and comparing side by side for several flights and the QC15 was just a more comforting sound. Maybe some type of selectable response curves could be an option on future models that could allow us to pick the type of sound we like. 3. White noise added by the QC25 audio circuitry is unacceptable to me especially in a headphone that is supposed to be noise canceling. It's the reason I took back 1. A pair of Beats noise canceling, 2. A pair of Sony noise canceling, 3. The amazingly even more noise canceling effective in ear Bose noise canceling buds (which added even more white noise) and 4. Part of why I took these back. The QC15 had zero white noise. Zero! And when as I turned the QC15 volume down to it's lowest setting as described in #2, all I heard was the music. Bose, you spoiled me. I didn't know how good it could be. But not in the QC25. The white noise is very audible and forces me to keep the music up to overcome it especially in classical music or quieter music. The industry seems to have accepted this since it exists in all the latest competitors also, but I want perfection from Bose :) Please pass this to the engineers, it matters. Work on fixing in future models and get back to where you were on the QC15. Again, make no mistake though. If I was purchasing a pair of new headphone, the QC25 continue to be unmatched in the industry.
Previously wrote a review on these headphones and much of what I said remains true. The sound quality is second to none and the comfort and style is excellent! However, After using these headphones for over 4000 hours I have discovered some annoying and major floors. For starters they are advertised as travelling headphones, which they are great at. But, the noise leakage is terrible people next to have often asked me to turn my music down and it’s only running about 50% volume. Also, regrettably my first pair broke rather quickly. The right ear cup simply cut out. There was no damage or scratches and I can guarantee you that they were looked after exceptionally well. So I returned them and got another pair. However the same issue recently happened, the right cup just cut out again. In all excellent sound quality and in my opinion the best noise cancelation money can buy at this price range. I just wouldn’t recommend getting them for the soul reason that both pairs ive owned have just broken. A major design flaw from such a pioneer in audio systems
Having just endured a 8.45 hour flight, I am so thankful I took the decision to buy the Bose quiet comfort 25's. I put the Bose on shortly after take off and left them on for the duration of the flight. I listened to films, music and audio books and can honestly say the clarity and quality of the sound was superb. The fact that the noise cancelling technology completely removed the aircraft engine noise was astounding. I have also used these headphones to listen to a variety of music genres at home on a quality Hi-Fi system and again the reproduction was second to none. If I had to find fault, it would be that the volume level is not that loud, but then I often get told to turn my music or TV down as I do like the level cranked up! On the whole a superb investment and would urge anyone wanting a quality set of headphones to look no further.
I love these headphones the bass is incredible and crisp highs 2nd Pair and i LOVE them I use them every day there so comfortable sometimes i forget i am wearing them going to buy the qc 35 Soon!!!!!!!!!
Have lots of time once you put these things on because when you do a friend will have to pry them off you. These headphone create a who new world around you with deep bass and clear highs weather your listen to hard rock country or anything in between.
for four years I have been using sennheiser headphones from 2003 and I have been waiting for an upgrade last Christmas I wanted beats by dre but they didn't look like the headphones of the kind of music that I listen to so one year later when I looked at reviews it said bose was the better brand so I ended up having then and glad to have better quality, flex and comfort Great job Bose sincerely, Quinn Chase
I bought these headphones (and a pair for my partner) over a year ago and have used them on daily basis. At first I was put off by the high price-tag and the idea of paying more for the name than the actual product. However, as far as noise cancelling goes I was limited in options. First of all, I did compare them to my friend's *reputable pro-headphone brand* 'monitor' headphones which were half the price. However, despite their exceptional sound quality (which to my ears was on par with Bose's), my ears/head got tired after a good one or two hours or listening to music. As I was needing headphones for work, these had to be light and comfortable, and of course sound good. Bose fit the bill perfectly, and now more than a year later I can confirm it. The design is great (both black pairs). It is relatively subtle, small (yet over the ears), and the speakers efficiently fold up to save space and fit into a special case. There are no big flashy logos or stupid colours, other than a small 'Bose' name. The noise cancelling feature is perfect for several reason (and I stress that it is not limited to just being useful on airplanes). It works best with lower/hum frequencies. However, what it actually means is that if you're sitting at work/home/university, it will cancel out the hum of aircon/computers/etc. This consequently means that you can listen to your music at insanely 'low' levels of volume (1% - 5%). The reason is that with 'normal headphones' you would normally have to turn up the volume up to a certain level where it starts to over-power any background noise. This is fine for short periods of listening, but it does tire your ears. However, with Bose's noise cancelling you start with near-silence and thus you only require a small amount of volume in order to hear the music with perfect clarity. This means that I can keep the headphones and music going all day long without any discomfort. Only thing you have to get used to is the fact that they run on a AAA battery. However, I have invested in some rechargeable batteries and these only have to be swapped out once a week. Overall I've been impressed.
At Best Buy I auditioned a few headphones, but my heart was set on a Bose product. While hesitant to take the plunge , once I realized there were no competitors for the quality sound I craved, Bose Quietcomfort's Flagship product was the only choice.
I've been using the QC15s for some time, but decided to try the QC25s based on the various glowing reviews I had read. Improved noise cancellation and better, more exciting sound is what I kept reading. In truth (well, my truth, anyway), I found the sound a little thin and the noise cancellation in need of normalization (but generally no better than the QC15s).With regards to the sound quality, I've always thought the QC15's audio a little muddy and not as well defined as it could be. Though the QC25's sound is cleaner and better defined, there was no "punch" to the music (and I don't mean thump to the low end). They are also not as sensitive as the QC15s which meant I had to turn the volume up on my iPod to achieve the same volume levels. As far as the noise cancellation is concerned, I commute to work on bus and subway. Every time my bus hit a large bump in the road, noise cancellation would kick into overdrive, sometimes cutting off my music for a split second (my QC15s only did this when the batteries were running low). The phones even cut out when a train was pulling into the station when the batteries began to run low (this NEVER happened with my QC15s). Bose needs to figure out how to better normalize the noise cancellation so the headphones do not cut out while trying to cancel sudden noises. On the plus side, I was pleased to see that Bose changed the thin - and extremely long - cord for a more substantial and slightly shorter one. Additionally, it was nice that they allow the phones to work even without power.
Brought these in October last year after 2 weeks the right ear stopped working. I had only used them 3 times in the space of that 2 weeks. Took these back to the store and they agreed that they had a problem. They then gave me another pair, and now after 5 months they have packed up with the same problem. Due to the high price of these ear phones I have taken very good care of them, no knocks and have never been dropped. I am soooo disappointed in these. These were great while they worked. These clearly have a fault. I will never purchase another bose product again. Grrrrrr
I received these headphones as a Christmas gift this year and I must say this is to date my most prized gift I have ever gotten. The sound quality is incredible, they are very comfortable, the noise canceling is next level, the myriad of controls you have at your finger tips is incredible, and overall I could not be happier with this product. I have a learning disorder that makes it very difficult for me to stay focused in even the most quiet of environments, however, these headphones with noise canceling on or off have made it so that I am able to focus and hone in on what I am working on. At the very least it removes that external sound distraction as a factor of my disorder. The true test of the headphones took place on my way back to begin my second semester of medical school. Sitting right next to me on the plane was a family with a baby who proceeded to wail like a banshee for 4 hours. With the noise canceling on I could not hear even the slightest scream. While 8 rows of people in front of me and 8 rows of people behind me were in excruciating pain, I sat next to the source of the torment with a very prominent smile. I am very thankful for these earphones and after trying all the other earphones in the price range I have to say that these Bose QC25 headphones are by and large the best buy. The only draw back, and I mean the only draw back, is the battery life of the noise canceling. Generally you will get about 35 hours from one AAA battery. This situation can be remedied by just getting rechargeable batteries. I liked them so much I just bought my partner a pair for Valentine's day. Thank you Bose for a great product.
I bought these less than a week ago as my workplace is very noisy. There is a constant loud air conditioner drone and people washing dishes and getting water behind me. Previously I used skull candy earphones and while they weren't bad, I had to turn the music on really loud to tune everything out. These Bose noise cancelling headphones completely changed my life! The first day at work I was so amazed at the complete silence, I just had them on without any music playing for hours. I was able to focus on my work without distractions. When I did eventually listen to music, the sound was absolutely beautiful and I did not have to listen to it too loud at all. They are very comfortable. I also use them to cancel out kitchen fan noise while my husband is cooking. Bose quiet comfort headphones are a must for people like me that are bothered by constant air conditioner or fan noise. I haven't flown with them yet, but I am no longer dreading air travel. The prospect of finally being able to sleep on a transatlantic flight makes me really happy. The only thing that would make these better is if they came with cable controls that work both with Apple and Android products. I do have an iPod and the cable that came with the headphones works great with it. I'm hoping that the Android version that I ordered will work with my Android phone. My only regret is that I haven't bought these headphones sooner. They are worth every penny.
I bought my pair back in August of 2014, and just recently the right earphone has begun to flicker in and out. I have to tap it in order to restore functionality. Is there an easy fix? Or a warranty of sorts to replace the pair? Other than that, I have absolutely loved this headset! It was well worth the money, but with the malfunctioning earphone I'm starting to question it's life expectancy to cost. 4 stars though for amazing performance!
I have no clue who left the review about switching from Qc15 into the Qc25 and being disappointed. Whoever wrote that review must have been confused. I also switched and these are a huge approvement. Not only is the sound more crisp but the design is out of this world. Qc25's new triple black is elagent and down right sexy. Couldn't ask more from Bose. I am a lift long fan of Bose. This is my 5th product from this amazing company and have no plans of ever buying any other brand. A+++ again.
After having these for over a year, I can say that I'm pretty satisfied. Though a bit pricey, I think they are worth it if you are seeking the best noise cancellation especially for air travel. These headphones do an amazing job silencing the loud rumble of aircraft engines and generally reducing the noise of everything else. It won't, however, really do much to silence a loud talker who's nearby, or a crying baby. The build quality is pretty good- though it's plastic, it feels solid and the earcup hinges are real metal. The weight is not obtrusive at all, very comfortable for long periods of time. As far as audio quality, I'd say it's good. Not great. Bass and low frequencies are fine for music and watching movies (unless you want hardcore pounding bass) and the highs are clear although I've heard better. I would definitely recommend them to the frequent traveler who's seeking serious noise cancellation and is willing to pay for them.
These headphones are the best headphones I have bought. I have owned the typical "Beats" noise cancelling headphones, and these Bose QC25's are in a league of their own compared to the rest of the headphones on the market in this price range. I am only jealous that the all black headphones were not available when I bought mine.
Great Headphones for cancelling out bad neighbors, I have a next door neighbor that plays extremely loud rap music and the Bose 25 headphones completely cancel out the base of the neighbors "music", tried all types of earplugs, over the head hearing protection and nothing worked. Thank you Bose for developing a great product.
Great sound. The noise cancellation feature is amazing. When even the softest music is playing through the headphone, nothing else gets through. Even with no music playing through the headset, outside noise is reduced to an amazing degree. They are also the most comfortable headphones that I could find in Best Buy. The Bose QC 25 is costly, but worth it to someone who wears them for hours at a time, like me.
I was extremely nervers about spending such a large amount of money ( to me ) on headphones. but wow !!! they are incredible I feel like i can switch to a diffrent world when i have these on extremely happy and would recommend to anyone thinking should i or not do it !! my only one niggle, ( and I'm not sure if i have faulty headphones or they all do it ) but they are no good if you want to listen and walk around a lot with these on as you hear every footstep you make it comes through like a short thud or boom a you take each step... i use the headphones on and off 4 to 5 times a day ! i also hope that folding them up and unfolding them in and out of the case 4 to 5 times a day won't have any detrimental effect on the cables inside the headphones as some other reviews have expressed ??
I own a Sennheiser PXC 450 for over a year and a recently purchased a QC25 on a whim while browsing through an electronics store at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. I have not regretted my purchase even though the QC25 was more expensive. The audio quality is phenomenal!! The memory foam is ultra comfortable. I chose the white headphones but was not sure if I would like it but it has totally grown on me and everyone who sees it, loves it. My money was well spent. I travel a lot and I use the NC feature all the time. It's way better than the Sennheiser. I love the storage case. Its slim and the QC25 fits perfectly inside. The only problem is the headphones inline mic/remote cable for my iPhone. It broke twice. I initially bought the QC25 for Samsung and got an additional cable for my iPhone. After the first iPhone cable broke at the phone end, I chuck it up to over usage. However, the second one broke shortly thereafter. I think the headphone inline mic/remote is not that great. I have only used original Bose cables. I love these headphones so much that I am not giving up on it. I will purchase a couple more inline mic/remote cable but they are NOT cheap to replace. I need my music on long 13 hours flight. The QC25 is the BEST headphones on the market and I have not regretted my purchase. My only gripe is with the poor quality of the inline mic/remote cable. They break too easily.
