Customer Reviews for AudioQuest XLR Output Noise-Stopper Caps - 2 Pack
Do they make a noticeable difference in the sound produced on tower speakers or through headphones? Frankly, I am uncertain. My integrated amplifier is connected to a (SA)CD player and Auralic TAURUS MKII headphone amplifier via XLR in a balanced mode. The sound is pure and rich, and I think the background is blacker. Perhaps if I had an egregious RFI problem, I might be able to provide an unqualified "must have" endorsement So much of a stereo system's performance is based on the ears -- and dare I say it, the Pygmalion effect -- that a person brings to the listening experience.
Ultimately, for me the driving factor is keeping my stereo system as pristine as possible. Accordingly, I have purchased both the AudioQuest and Cardas XLR caps which give me assurance that they contribute to preserving the sounds and cleanliness I desire.
The caps are beautifully made, fit smoothly over and into the vacant output XLR ports, and provide a professional look. For prospective buyers, you will have to decide whether the dust prevention, audio performance, or simple audio jewelry benefits warrant the expense. For me, it's an affordable and positive decision.
