Our clients’ basement renovation was focused around a goal to create a multi-use entertaining space where friends could gather and enjoy music, movies, games, and general entertaining overflow. We went with a clean design, where products could be heard but not seen, to support the multi-function space. All electronics, except for the projector and screen, were hidden in one centralized and easily accessible closet location and wirelessly controlled by a single controller.
In the space, we designed and installed a 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound system with a Sony 4K projection system using a 133” 2.35:1 aspect ratio acoustically transparent screen by Stewart Filmscreen. The front soundstage (Left, Center and Right Channels) are hidden behind the acoustical transparent screen featuring Focal 300 series in-wall front and rear speakers and Dolby Atmos in-ceiling speakers. The Universal MX-990 remote controls the Marantz SR6013 receiver, Sony UBP-X1000ES Blu-ray, and Comcast X-1 Cable Box.
Though not originally designed as a dedicated theater, the client has now dubbed the space as “The Man Cave”.

Client Testimonial
Working with World Wide Stereo and Tommy Gillanders in particular for my “Man Cave” was a phenomenal experience. Tommy and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. We spent months figuring out the best configuration for the sound system and Tommy was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance. Tommy and his team have remained responsive and helpful when questions have arisen since the project was completed. I strongly recommend Tommy and World Wide Stereo!”
